A warm welcome to Ashbourne Court Care Home, Andover

Helping our residents to love every day

Ashbourne Court is a happy and friendly care home, situated in the heart of the popular market town of Andover. Our purpose-built care home, is within easy reach of Salisbury and Winchester Cathedral and there is a very interesting Army flying museum nearby as well as Milestones museum, which is full of vintage and interesting items and transport.

Ashbourne Court has an excellent reputation and enjoys high levels of satisfaction and recommendation:  “Relatives and professionals described the end of life care as outstanding and expressed complete confidence in the skills of knowledge of staff in end of life care. People received person-centred care that truly recognised their individuality, exceeded expectations and achieved positive outcomes.” Recent CQC report where we were rated Outstanding in Responsive.

We are rated Good in all areas and OUTSTANDING in Responsive. Our full inspection report can be found below.

We run two weekly resident clubs:

  • Knit and Natter Club on Monday, and
  • Bird Watching Club.

We try to run a weekly minibus trip, depending on the weather and the driver availability.  When we go out we stay fairly local and trips include Charlton Lakes, a scenic beauty spot, garden centres to visit the café and for the residents to browse.

Key Information

We provide care for those paying for their own care and in some cases where there might also be a contribution from the local authority or NHS Trust. For those paying for their own care we provide an indicative weekly fee.  For those fully or partly funded by public funds, we may require an additional top up contribution.  Before you move into our home, we will go through the fees with you and provide you with the Terms and Conditions of Residency and information about the fees for the care you require and the room you select.

It’s important to get professional advice on the best way to fund the cost of care and we suggest that you take advice from a care fees expert to make sure that you have explored all the options available to you.

In order to make life easier we have contacted a national care fees planning specialist, Symponia who are dedicated to the financial issues of later life, in particular the payment of care fees. Through Symponia’s network of carefully selected and qualified financial advisers they offer you and/or your family member empathic, bespoke advice on the best way to fund weekly care fees. This approach ensures that not only are all our residents and their families aware of the legislation and how it works but they are able to explore all the financial options available to them.

It should be noted that brighterkind and Symponia operate completely independently with no commission or financial benefit to brighterkind as a result of your conversation or contract.
